Doin' D. C.(TM)--The board game that makes politics fun.

'Home of the Doin' D.C.(TM) game' header

What's Going On In Our Nation's Capital?

If politics makes for strange bedfellows, then who can say what's happening between the sheets in Washington, D. C.?

YOU can!

You are the best investigative reporter at the best newspaper in town--the MUCKRAKER--and you are ready to uncover (ahem) the truth no matter what it takes or who it...exposes. You are prepared to:

  • Careen through town to secret rendezvous in well-known places.
  • Engage other players in verbal intercourse to ask penetrating questions.
  • Be the first to reveal the naked truth: Which two, prominent, D. C. residents have been "bunking" together, and where.

Picture of the Doin' D.C. (TM) gameYou know there is a lot of stiff competition going in and that coming up with the winning proposition won't be easy. That doesn't matter to you. The people have a right to know what goings on are going on, and it's up to you to find out:

  • You owe it to your publisher.
  • You owe it to your readers.
  • Most of all, you've got a mortgage and you owe it to your bank!

You've got to be the first to know who's been...

"Doin' D. C."(TM).

And to be first, you first have to order your Doin' D. C. (TM) game.

Who should play the game?

Probably no one. But that doesn't stop many politicians and I'm counting on it not stopping you. As a practical matter, anyone old enough to understand what the game is about is probably old enough to play it.

How long does it take to play the game?

That's a rather personal question as it depends on a number of factors:

  • The number of players.
  • How well endowed you and your playmates are with tools needed for a strong performance.
  • How long everyone involved wants the experience to last.

If you are the independent type, you can choose to play by your own rules as you gain experience and bring things to a head as quickly or as slowly as you desire. It's often best to discuss everyone's expectations before play, the better to make sure everyone is satisfied at the consummation of the game.

How many can play the game?

It's not something you can play alone, but you knew that, didn't you? So at least two, and more is better. There are enough pieces in the game for seven players.

Speaking of pieces in the game, what is included? (Here's a picture of the Doin' D. C. (TM) game.)

  • A colorful game board with entertaining graphics from end to end.
  • A pack of 40 cards identifying--or not--the key characters and places. More amusing artwork. Even the media are involved.
  • A six-sided die. (Because after all, this game IS to die for.)
  • The rule book. Its cover almost like it was torn from the pages of the MUCKRAKER....
  • A pack of 22 cards telling you where you can go.
  • The previously mentioned 7 game pieces: like little, tiny automobiles.
  • Sheets upon which to track the facts as they are laid bare.
  • A pocket to hide the solution. Finding out what's in your pocket is everyone's goal.
  • The box itself. The cover pretty much sets the mood for the whole game.
